Conservation

I have considerable experience of working within the conservation field including extensions to and refurbishment of listed buildings and buildings within a sensitive conservation context.

A member of SPAB (Society for the Preservation of Ancient Buildings) I undertook the Repair of Old Buildings Course for construction professionals in 2005.

I am currently a team member in a large Arts Council/HLF/English Heritage-funded conservation project in St Ives with Long and Kentish architects - the refurbishment and extension of the Grade 2* listed Porthmeor Artist's studios, School of Painting and fishermen's cellars.

Aside from my strictly architectural work I am happy to undertake detailed architectural records of existing buildings. The adjacent drawings, carried out at Stowe Gardens in Buckinghamshire with Jim McKinney, won the Folly Fellowship Award for Measured Drawing and were exhibited at the Royal Academy.
